Where can students get an application?
Applicants can download the application form by clicking on the link below:
Additionally, applicants can acquire an application by contacting the Skandalaris Family Foundation by mail, facsimile, telephone or e-mail. Application requests must include:
- Student’s full name
- Home address
- Current school’s name
- Grade level in Fall 2008
- Student’s date of birth

When is the application deadline?
Typically, applications must be received by the Foundation on or before the following dates:
- Regular Application: Future Leaders Merit Scholarship – Before May 31, 2008
- Late Application: Future Leaders Merit Scholarship – Before September 1, 2008 (limited number available)
What are the criteria for the Future Leaders Scholarship Program?
To be considered for a Future Leaders Scholarship, a student must:
- Complete the Detroit Country Day School admissions process and be recommended by DCDS
- Be entering the 6th grade or above in the fall
- Must be a United States citizen
- Have excellent academic credentials
- Participate and excel in extracurricular activities
- Agree to pay approximately $10,000 in annual tuition to attend Detroit Country Day School
- Not be a current student at DCDS
